Mapping farmers' seed systems actors

Supported to date by a dozen organisations located in as many countries, this initiative seeks to facilitate exchange, cross-learning and collaboration across different organisations, networks, communities of practice, and individuals working on farmers’ seeds and cultivated biodiversity

We believe that mutual support, solidarity and knowledge-sharing are essential to staying informed and contributing meaningfully to shared goals that promote farmers’ seed systems and cultivated biodiversity worldwide.

Therefore, we aim to strengthen an ecosystem of collaboration where actors can exchange knowledge, skills, learn from each other, and coordinate more effectively.

This survey is the initial step to collect preliminary data for mapping players working on farmers' seeds and cultivated biodiversity.

By building this map, we can better understand who is working where, on what themes, and with which approaches. This will make visible the diversity of initiatives, highlight potential synergies, and help reduce duplication of efforts. The data will benefit local organisations, networks, and international partners alike by creating a clearer picture of the landscape.

The survey results will serve as a foundation for potential future tools, platforms and activities that facilitate exchange, dialogues, coordination and joint learning.

You are asked to complete an anonymous 10-15 minute survey. Participation is voluntary, and you may withdraw at any time. You are eligible to take this survey if you are

  • actively working within a seed system
  • 18 years of age or older.
